Musselwhite`s Seafood & Grill in East Palatka

Service was great, the restaurant is clean but dated. The food was mediocre at best. I got blackened flounder tacos - terrible! The "fish" was pasty (I know, how can that be?)! My wife got a crabcake sandwich... 99% filling. Won't go back.

Great food! We tried the gator tail for our appetizer, tender and tasty. Fried shrimp was cooked to perfection, did find a couple shrimp that weren't cleaned well. Grilled shrimp were seasoned great there were also a few that needed some cleaning. Fried okra offered as a side and was cooked perfect! Service was great! We enjoyed our time and dinner.

Went here for dinner Saturday night. Our waitress was rude. Our food was horrible. The mahi-mahi fish that we got look like rubber. Also ask for ketchup and a one sauce and ranch and it took 20 minutes to bring it back to the table I was basically done with my food that point. Will never ever go back.Also it was not that busy to have that many problems.

This place does not disappoint. Ever. Consistently the best shrimp I’ve ever had. The oysters and fresh catch are also just that...FRESH. The service is wonderful and most times I’ve eaten here, I’ve been made to feel like I just sat down in the dining room of a close friend. Everyone is so hospitable and kind and they go out of their way to make sure your dining experience is top notch. The owners usually make their way around to each table if they have the time and truly make it a priority to see to your every need. The only negative thing I have to say is that I don’t live closer to Palatka and am not able to indulge in this heavenly food more frequently.

Could not wait to get back to Florida so we could do our Friday night date night. Shrimp dinner with 2 sides $7.95 and I saved in and ordered their home made key lime pie that melted in my mouth. Soooooo Goood.

I have been a regular customer since 2005 and have never been disappointed! Great food, service and reasonable prices at this family owned restaurant.

Good food and friendly serviceWe came here for dinner because we were staying at the hotel next door. Apparently we were lucky because it was really quiet and we didn't have to wait for a table (usually very busy on weekends). My husband and I ordered the pork chops and the tuna (catch of the day) which we had seared. The food was delicious and we enjoyed the sides that came with the meals. Not so excited about the key lime pie though - it tasted like a commercial product, rather than a house made dessert. The prices were very reasonable!

Best fried shrimp you can get. All the food is really good. The service is great. Everyone is very friendly. It feels like home. We eat here a lot.

The food was pretty good, but the atmosphere and the service could have used some improvement. There was only one other table of people, and we had to wait quite a while to be seated, and there were other people just standing around that could have seated us. The lady on the phone taking orders was talking and laughing so loud that it made the atmosphere awkward. I'm not saying we won't go back, but I don't think it'll be our first choice in the future.

Very nice people that work here. Service was spot on. The reason for 4 stars is the blackened flounder was over done and dried out. Loved the fried okra, butter beans and hush puppies. If I was going to be charged 15 -20 dollars I would have sent the fish back. This was a lunch special at $7.99. I have a feeling they do other menu items well because of all the patrons eating lunch.

We happened in there on a Saturday night around 5:30 to try the place for the first time. Much to our surprise it was the shrimp special night so we got 12 shrimp for $7.95. My sides were the pickled beets and the corn tomato casserole. We were very pleasantly surprised! Every little bit of food I ate was excellent! The only thing I didn't care for were the hush puppies, they were kind of bland, but everything else including the service was stellar! We definitely will be back again!

Well... The shrimp was overcooked 🤨 the fries and baked potato were good and I'm not a big fan of hush puppies so no need to tell you about those. If I ever try them again I'll go for the steak! I always like to give places a second chance😎 service was good and prices were good too! Very oldschool look which is very comfortable to me☺ I'm very critical of seafood because if I'm eating it, it has to be perfect.. very rarely do I order seafood lol even at a seafood restaurant..

Hands down, best fried shrimp I have ever tasted! Breading was crunchy and not too heavy, not greasy at all. Delicious! And the sauce they serve with the shrimp was outstanding!!! French onion soup was very good too as was the chocolate peanut butter pie. Very good prices and friendly service, we had a wonderful waitress. My family will definitely be back!

A locally owned restaurant that serves the best shrimp and ahi tuna! I always get the grilled blackened chicken chef salad and it’s a great healthy option. They have onion rings that are to die for and the sweetest servers.

I had the Gator tail with Blackened catfish for lunch. The apple sauce tasted as though the apples had just came off the tree, not like that bottled tasteless stuff that you have to put cinnamon on to add flavor to. The people are friendly and would recommend. I was not quite done with my hush puppies before she took my plate, but I was quite full anyway and didn't mind. The only thing is that they get busy at time so be prepared to wait for a few minutes until a table opens up.

Had pork chops with glazed yams and coleslaw. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! I can't say enough about great this meal was. I enjoyed it very much! Would I get it again? YOU BETCHA!!!

Everything was well-prepared, delicious and tasty and you get lots of food. Great salad, great ranch dressing, fabulous fried shrimp, good French fries & black eyed peas. My dinner companions had the same experience, so I did not just get lucky. I'm 68, raised in New Orleans, and I have eaten mountains of shrimp in my time. This was really solid.And our server had a marvelous disposition; I would marry her. I have heard that Corky Bells is even better, but I really can't see how anything could be.

This is an excellent place for a meal. Staff is friendly,food is very good,service is number one. A great place to take family and friends. It is a seafood restaurant but I had the steak a loved it. My wife always has seafood and has never been disappointed no matter what she ordered.

TUNA WAS THE CATCH OF THE DAY. I ORDERED THE GRILLED WITH BLUE CHEESE. OMG ! SHUT THE FRONT DOOR ! REALLY GOOD AND PRICES WERE PLEASING. SERVICE WAS VERY ATTENTIVE AND TIMELY

Thanks! A group of us were in town for a mushroom festival, and having 3 pretty picky eaters, it can be hard to find a satisfying location. Musselwhite's was an excellent stop in our travels. Everyone was able to find a scrumptious dish. We'll see you next year!

Not sureWsure what's going on lately??? We have been eating here twice a week for months. The last time I ordered to go the order wasn't put in and I waited 45 minutes, today we ordered again. WOW. The chicken tenders were changed from fresh cut to boxed elongated nuggets, might as well go to McDonald's, and the pork chops were bloody in the middle. Couldn't even eat them.

My waiter had a runny nose. He constantly wiped his nose on the back of his hand while taking our order . He could of at least wore a mask ,totally disgusting!!! The waitress just rolled her eyes when told. Really professional. The 8 of us will never go back!!!!

We really like this cozy restaurant. We found it to be very clean and fresh. The fried shrimp was delicious, like it was just caught, a very good taste. The Cole slaw, baked potato, and hush puppies were delicious. We will be returning.

The portions were large. I ordered the grilled snapper. It was delicious!! The sides were also good. If you love seafood, this is the place to come. Service is fast and friendly. Y'all come on in!!!

Don't waste your time with more expensive restaurants that aren't going to give you the attention you deserve. Treat yourself to an experience that is balanced and fair.
